Hi, I’m Mike Gibbs

My initial interaction with a dog as a child was…rocky to say the least. I was bitten on the rump by a friend’s dog. I realized I could gradually develop a fear of dogs, or I could grow to better understand them. My family rescued a golden retriever to help me overcome that initial experience, and I’ve lived and worked with dogs since that day, bringing over 20 years of training experience to help you and your dog.

I served my community as a K9 officer in Mississippi. I am blessed to have trained and worked with many k9 officers over my career, achieving multiple k9 certifications. My last k9 partner, Odin, retired with me, and has been converted into a therapy dog, living his best life in retirement. He brings joy and comfort to everyone he meets.

Since retiring from law enforcement, I’ve taken my extensive knowledge of dog behavior and various training methodologies into the realm of the family dog. I find creative solutions to each unique sitation, from behavior modification of a rescued dog, to helping senior dogs and their people adjust to assisted living facilities. I also provide service and therapy dog training. I am driven by the happy outcomes when dogs and their humans enrich each others lives.

Its an honor to be included in your dog family. I look forward to meeting you and your dog, and helping you both achieve your lifestyle goals, whether it’s a calm dog in your home, a young energetic dog ready for adventures in public, or a therapy dog to help you navigate your world with an increased freedom.
