Basic Obedience Group Class
Basic obedience classes are a safe and fun way to socialize your dog with other humans and dogs, while your dog learns to focus and follow basic commands in a stimulating environment.
The basic obedience class is an on leash class and open to dogs of any training level, activity level, and age. We practice heeling, sitting, and walking around other dogs and people. Your dog is socialized with other dogs under the watchful eye of a trained canine behavior specialist. Unlike a dog park, where unmonitored and unvetted dogs are able to show dominance and/or traumatize your dog, our basic obedience dog classes are a safe space for learning.
Once you and your dog are confident in basic obedience (from both extensive 1:1 training and the basic obedience class), it’s time to enjoy the development of more advanced skills. In the advanced Obedience group classes, you and your dog wil strengthen your bond. We work off leash in a park, training your dog to focus on only you, even when there is an enriched, exciting environment around them. Your dog will navigate fun hurdles and jumps appropriate to their size, mobility, and age. This is a safe learning environment as only dogs vetted to be at the appropriate skill and social level attend this class.
I maintain a business permit for the classes to be held in the park, both on and off leash.
